By providing your mobile phone number to Decom Solar and opting in to receive SMS messages from us, you agree to the terms of this policy.

Decom Solar uses SMS messaging to support our solar decommissioning, removal, and installation services. Specifically, we may send SMS messages to:

Customers and clients for operational and service-related communications, including project scheduling, appointment confirmations, site-visit coordination, status updates, and responses to inquiries.
Employees and authorized personnel for internal coordination, including dispatch, scheduling, job-site logistics, and other business-related communications.

We do not use SMS for marketing, promotional, or advertising purposes.

3. Opt-In and Consent

You will only receive SMS messages from Decom Solar after providing your express consent. Consent may be collected in one or more of the following ways:

Providing your mobile number on a Decom Solar service form, contract, or intake document
Verbally authorizing SMS contact with a Decom Solar representative
Initiating an SMS conversation with us
For employees, providing your number as part of your employment record

Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Decom Solar.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your interaction with Decom Solar and the status of your project or employment.

5. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and mobile plan. Decom Solar is not responsible for any charges from your carrier related to SMS messages you send or receive.

6. Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Decom Solar at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you. After you reply STOP, we will send a confirmation message and will not send you any further SMS messages unless you opt back in.

To opt back in, reply START or contact us using the information in Section 11.

7. Help

For help or questions about our SMS messages, reply HELP to any message we send you, or contact us using the information in Section 11.

8. Supported Carriers

Decom Solar’s SMS service is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Information We Collect

In connection with SMS communications, we may collect and store:

Your mobile phone number
The date, time, and content of messages exchanged with us
Your opt-in and opt-out status
Any information you voluntarily provide in the body of a message

10. How We Use and Share Your Information

We use the information described above solely to deliver and manage the SMS communications described in this policy, to respond to your requests, and to maintain records of consent as required by law.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing related to SMS opt-in consent is limited to the following:

Service providers and subprocessors that help us operate our SMS service (such as RingCentral, our telecommunications provider), bound by contractual confidentiality obligations
When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or legal process
To protect the rights, property, or safety of Decom Solar, our employees, customers, or others

We do not sell, rent, or lease your mobile number or SMS content to any third party.

11. Data Retention and Security

We retain SMS records for as long as necessary to fulfill the business purposes described in this policy, comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect SMS-related information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

12. Children’s Privacy

Decom Solar’s SMS service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect mobile numbers or other personal information from minors.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy and post the updated version at the same URL. Your continued participation in SMS communications after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
