We are a client-focused organization that seeks to make the headache of dealing with aging equipment effortless for our clients. We ensure that all equipment we touch will be properly handled, redeployed, reinstalled, or recycled so that everyone with a vested interest in a solar project can be certain that their project is being handled safely and sustainably.
After managing the installation and design of over 400 MWs of solar throughout the nation, Decom Solar recognized the immediate need for the proper decommissioning, disposal, and reuse of installed solar equipment. With over 20 years of experience in solar deployment, we understand the challenges that finance partners, developers, system owners, building owners, tenants, and construction teams face when solar assets reach the end of life.
Our moral obligation to guarantee that the sustainability strides made by the solar industry are not erased through destructive scrapping of material led to the formation of Decom Solar.

We have engineered and installed solar for over 20 years, exclusively in the commercial and industrial sector.
We handle every aspect of your decommissioning project, including equipment off takers, utility approvals, code compliance, permitting, communication, construction, logistics, safety, clean up, and completion.
We have a long track record of client satisfaction and pride ourselves on communication with project stakeholders throughout the project so there are no surprises.
We work anywhere in the continental U.S. and have experience doing so.
We work on any project with a decommissioning aspect, whether that be full decommissioning, deinstall and reinstall, or repowering projects.
Sustainability is at the core of what we do. As decommissioning becomes more common, the renewable energy industry must evolve to solve the growing problem created by our waste streams, negatively impacting our planet. We believe it is our responsibility to leave our planet better than we found it.
Decom Solar is partnered with One Tree Planted 501(c)(3) and has committed to donate one tree to be planted for every solar module that we keep out of landfills.

Steve, a NABCEP certified installer, started his career at a commercial and industrial solar company and grew it into one of the largest developers in the country. He headed up the project management and engineering teams and was responsible for the deployment of over 400 MWs of solar across hundreds of projects nationwide.

Jerry has over 10 years of experience in engineering and construction in the solar industry. His comprehensive technical background has helped him to engineer and build some of the most complex renewable energy systems in the country.
